Steven L. Robinson

 


Steve joined the Everett Community College Faculty full time in August of 2002 as the coordinator of the Criminal Justice Program Faculty and an Instructor.  He currently teaches Criminal Justice 101 and oversees the Internship Program for Criminal Justice Students.  Prior to teaching full time, he taught two quarters as a part time instructor, and also is a certified instructor for the Washington State Criminal Justice Commission.  Steve also has taught seminars on Dealing with Difficult people to classified and certified staff for the Educational Service District.

 

He attended three community colleges and graduated from Central Washington University with a B.A. in Administration of Justice.  In 1987, he was selected to attend the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s National Academy for a three-month executive training session.

 

His twenty-eight year career in law enforcement started in Tukwila Washington in 1973.  He served as a patrol officer, detective, juvenile officer, patrol and detective sergeant, and assistant chief.  Steve left Tukwila in 1990 to take the position of Chief of Police in Arlington Washington.  He served in that position until his retirement in October of 2001.

 

He has served 7 years on the Snohomish County Children’s Commission, a Rotarian since 1986, and actively involved in his church.  He has two grown children and four grandchildren.
