H DEV 103

Moving through a significant loss requires a series of actions and small steps. This class will guide students in this process and help them to discover the strength within themselves to recover.

Instructor comments: This is an experiential process where students who have experienced a loss, or losses can “work through” the loss and grief, and move towards a place of healing and recovery from the pain that surrounds grief. I have always found this class to be a “safe place” for students to open up and share their pain, which leads to recovery. I ask students who register for this class to be willing to come to class with an open heart, respect for self and others, and a desire to find healing. This class is usually only offered once per year. If students have grief and loss issues, they may want to consult with a counselor individually. I invite you in to meet with me.

Additional Information:

Because traditionally this is a difficult subject for many to address, class enrollment is limited to fifteen students to allow a climate encouraging openness and interaction.
