This course explores the fundamentals of microbiology, including microbial diversity, microbial cell biology, microbial genetics, the impact of bacteria and viruses on humans, and the role of microorganisms in the environment. In lab, students develop skills such as cultivation and identification of bacteria that are essential to the study of microbiology.
